She joined Western’s HEAT Dance Team in her first year and was a captain in her fourth year. Lauren has graduated with distinction from Western University with a Bachelor of Arts degree, a Major in Psychology and a Minor in Dance. Lauren most recently graduated from Western’s Faculty of Education and holds a Certificate of Qualification and Registration with The Ontario College Of Teachers. Lauren continues to seek opportunities to learn and grow as a dancer outside of the competitive world. Lauren danced in the Cumulo music video for SHEBAD, choreographed by The Normal People Collective. She also danced in RAM, a 40 minute dance piece performed at the London Fringe Festival, choreographed by Alli Robb. Lauren was a Faculty member for the NextGen Dance Intensive where she taught Jazz and Lyrical classes. Lauren takes great pride in being a dance teacher at Dance Essence. She is thankful that both Dance Essence and HEAT have allowed her to grow as a choreographer with many of her pieces being recognized for excellence in choreography and going on to win overall awards and scholarships. Lauren hopes to continue to learn and develop as an artist, as well as help teach and inspire the next generation. She loves to share her passion for dance with her students and watch them grow into confident dancers but more importantly good people.
